Honey festival and exhibition-fair of honey products has begun in Tashkent. More than 250 beekeepers are presenting their products at the event, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Association of Beekeepers of Uzbekistan and “Aloqabank” joint-stock commercial bank.
The resolution of the President of our country “On measures of further development of beekeeping industry in the republic” of October 16, 2017 serves as a program document in determining the priority tasks of development of the sphere. The Association of Beekeepers of Uzbekistan was established in order to unite the beekeepers of the country, to facilitate their exchange of experience in accordance with the resolution.
Farms that are members of the association are exempt from payment of customs fees for equipment used in the sphere, special vehicles for transporting bee hives, veterinary medicines and means for pest control, wax and wax products until 2023. This ensures an increase in output. In particular, beekeepers, who have procured 15 tons of honey and honey products this year, intend to increase this indicator to 23 tons by 2021.
At the fair, you can choose a variety of products harvested by beekeepers – beeswax, bee pollen, royal jelly and others.
It is planned to hold scientific and practical seminars and other events within the framework of the event, which will last until December 10 this year, with participation of representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources, the Association of Beekeepers of Uzbekistan and beekeepers.
