In November 2016 the Tashkent Advertizing Association conducted a market research in Uzbekistan for determining the most popular communication channels of the country.
Taking part in the survey were more than 1,700 people, and the majority of respondents were aged 20-45. To attract the attention of the audience surveyors involved advertizing space of such thematic on-line publications as UzNet, Facebook, Yandex and Mail.ru.
“The Tashkent Advertizing Association has been regularly analyzing the market and conducted a number of undertakings for its development. The survey carried out by our company enabled us to understand how media preferences of the city residents will transform the market within feasible future,” commented on the results of the opinion poll Chairperson of the Association Anvar Yoldoshev.
More than 95% of respondents login the Internet several times a day, making use of different types of devices: smart phones, laptops, tabloids and desk top personal computers, according to survey results. The overwhelming majority of Internet users account for Mobile. Thus, 84% of respondents login the Internet from their smart phones, and 19.3% of those surveyed – make use of their tabloids. Notebooks (59.5%) and desktop computers (50.6%) are the most popular among the desktop devices.
The TV audience was split in the following proportions: 33% of those surveyed admitted that they watch television programs once a day, 19% switch on their TV sets several times a day, and 13.8% noted that they do not watch TV programs at all.
45% of respondents do not switch on radio sets at all; 14.6% listen to radio programs not more than once a day and only 8% represent more active audience, according to opinion survey results.
