As reported by the Press Service of the Ministry of Justice, on 29 January, the American law firm White & Case opened its office in Tashkent.
The opening of the representative office was provided by the Memorandum signed between the Ministry of Justice and White & Case within the framework of the visit of the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to New York on September 18-20, last year.
The document also envisages organization of training of national legal staff on commercial and arbitration law at the American offices of the company.
At the moment, White & Case is the only American law firm in Uzbekistan.
At the Ministry of Justice, it was noted that the involvement of international law firms in the Republic will contribute to improvement of the national system of legal and consulting services, as well as strengthening the confidence of foreign investors in Uzbekistan.
White & Case was founded in 1901 and currently has more than 2200 professional lawyers working in 38 offices in 26 countries. The company’s annual turnover is more than 1.5 billion U.S. dollars.
