The State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development is working on development of the Concept for development of the tourism sector of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the period up to 2025.
In order to ensure qualitative development of the draft Concept of Tourism Development in Uzbekistan based on recommendations of foreign advisor of the State Committee for Tourism Development S.Badak (Turkey), a survey was conducted in 8 regions of the country (Andijan, Bukhara, Kashkadarya, Namangan, Samarkand, Fergana, Khorezm regions and Tashkent city) among representatives of business entities in the sphere of tourism, as well as among employees of relevant ministries and agencies.
At the same time, in order to discuss and summarize the opinions, suggestions and recommendations on the results of the survey, the State Committee for Tourism Development hosted a workshop with involvement of survey participants, as well as experts in the sphere of tourism.
Discussions were organized on problematic issues of the tourism industry. Corresponding proposals and recommendations have been developed.
As reported by the Press Service of the State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, following the workshop, the developed proposals and recommendations were summarized for inclusion in the draft Concept of development of the tourism sector in Uzbekistan in the period up to 2025.
