Starting from April 4, online taxi ordering service through the mobile application Yandex.Taxi has officially started in Tashkent. Uzbekistan became the ninth country, where this service has been launched.
According to the director for international development of the Yandex.Taxi service, Mushegh Sahakyan, the cost of the trip is reduced due to the “smart” order distribution system. This is due to the fact that often it includes the search for the next customer and return journey without passengers. Algorithms of Yandex.Taxi cuts these costs. Travels become cheaper for users, while drivers earn more.
Before entering the market of Uzbekistan, the company was thoroughly prepared. The map of Tashkent in Yandex.Maps service was drawn in detail. The updated map of Tashkent can also be used in the free Yandex.Navigator application, available for all.
You can order a taxi through a single mobile application Yandex.Taxi, available free of charge for smartphones on iOS and Android operating systems. At startup, the application will automatically determine the location and automatically switch to Uzbekistan.
The price of the travel is calculated as follows: landing and the first three kilometers cost two thousand sums. Further a kilometer in the city costs one thousand sums, in the countryside – one and a half thousand. So far, users pay for the trip only in cash, but Yandex.Taxi plans to add the possibility of payment by bank cards. To ensure high quality of transportation at the end of the way, users can estimate the trip that will affect the driver’s rating. If the driver receives a lot of low reviews – the system blocks his account, and he will no longer be able to work. For the functioning of the application, a 24-hour online support service has already been created and if the passenger is dissatisfied with the trip, forgot the things in the car or wants to ask a question – he/she can write about it in the application and will get a help.
Yandex.Taxi does not work directly with drivers. It cooperates with taxi stations and dispatching services. At the moment, more than 200 cars from ten taxi stations are already connected to the service in Tashkent.
Yandex.Taxi is an international service that allows to quickly call an official taxi without a call to the dispatcher and monitor the execution of the order on the map. A special mobile application for smartphones is used to order a taxi.
