Shokir Kholikov’s “Yakshanba” (“Sunday”), shot by order of the Cinematography Agency, won a prize at the Vesoul International Film Festival of Asian Cinema in France in the nomination “Audience award for a fiction film” and also received the Critics’ Award.
This film festival is held annually in February. The 30th anniversary is celebrated this year.
Nine films, including “Sunday”, were presented in the main competition, the National Cinematography Development Center reports.
