One of the biggest achievements was the world championship won by Rustam Kasymdjanov in 2004. He was also awarded several medals and prizes at different high level tournaments. He became an International Grand Master at 18 and now is among the 50 top chess players in the world.

Anton Filippov is a three times Asian Champion among juniors and has won several Central Asian tournaments organized by FIDE. He also won a silver medal at the Chess Olympics in 2012. Among other great chess players of Uzbekistan are Yulduz Hamraqulova, Nafisa Muminova, Saidali Yuldashev, Nodira Nodirjanova, Andrey Kwon, Sarvinoz Qurbonboyeva and many others.

Nafisa Muminova has become the first female chess player from Uzbekistan to reach the International Grand Master rank.

In 2015 our players are continuing to show great results on the international arena. For example Marat Jumayev has won a silver medal in India. At the same time our students won 2 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals at the School Students Chess Championship in Singapore.

The youth Chess School is one of the main catalysts of the increasing results of our players. The E-Chess Boards installed in each classroom are helping the youth comprehend this difficult game. The facilities of the school allow hosting 100 chess players at a time. And in the IT rooms the students can play online chess with people from all over the world.
