Deputy of the French National Assembly, the mayor of the French city Ruey-Malmaison, Patrick Ollier sent his congratulations on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of the independence of our country.
– I am honored to congratulate the friendly people of Uzbekistan on this significant date and to express wishes for peace and further progress.
I fully share the words of President Islam Karimov at the festive ceremony dedicated to the national holiday, that in a short period of independent development the country has made impressive progress in all fields, has become a modern, dynamically developing state.
I closely watch the fundamental democratic and socio-economic reforms taking place in the country. Their result is obvious – in strengthening of the role of political parties and parliament, active development of civil society, creation of a favorable investment climate that will attract tens of billions of dollars of foreign investment and create thousands of joint ventures.
I would like Uzbekistan to be represented by more French companies. I think that the potential for trade and economic cooperation is not fully realized and has great prospects for development. I am convinced that well thought-out investment policy pursued in the country, will contribute to this.
For 15 years the city Ruey-Malmaison successfully developing sister city relationship with the glorious historical town of Bukhara, which is one of the best examples to expand and strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation between our countries.
For my part, I would like to emphasize the commitment to the development of friendly relations with this ancient city in all fields and confirmed their readiness to further discuss the promising areas of cooperation.
In connection with the anniversary of independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, I would like to wish the Uzbek people peace and prosperity, and to express full support to the policy pursued by the country.
