– It gives me great pleasure and honor to be present at the event. In March, I visited your country as an international observer at the presidential elections. The visit showed that our peoples have deep historical and cultural roots, and this is a solid basis for strengthening bilateral cooperation.
Pakistan appreciates the economic power, an independent foreign policy of Uzbekistan in the region, who confidently defends its national interests of Uzbekistan, is a reliable guarantor of stability and balance in Central Asia.
Chief editor of Elections Times Safir Hussain Shah noted that the high rates of socio-economic development of Uzbekistan are a clear proof of the effectiveness and viability of the unique Uzbek model of economic development, implemented under the leadership of the President of the Republic.
In turn, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Defence and the defense industry Mushahid Hussain said that in recent years has visited Uzbekistan, in particular the ancient cities of Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva. In this context, he stressed that the contribution of President Islam Karimov to the preservation and enhancement of cultural and spiritual heritage of the Uzbek people recognized by the international community.
