“Turkistan” Palace hosted the Tashkent city stage of the republican contest “You are the only, sacred Motherland!” dedicated to the 24th anniversary of the independence of our country.

During the competition, organized by Tashkent city administration, city General Directorate of Cultural Affairs and Sport, 41 participants – winners of regional stages, demonstrated the talent and skills.

Under the leadership of President Islam Karimov, issues about the spirituality of the younger generation, education of young people with deep knowledge and developed thinking, became a priority direction of state policy. During this work the important role played by the education of the youth musical art in the spirit of loyalty to the ideas of independence, respect for national values.

Competition “You are the only, sacred Motherland!”, led by the head of our state on the eve of Independence Day – the greatest, most expensive holiday, contrbutes to creation and familiarzation of general public with the best songs about Uzbekistan and identification of new talents.

Qualifying stage of the competition at a high level was held from June 20 to July 1 in all areas of the capital, about 100 young performers attended it.

– I prepared song “Uzbekistan”, – a student of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan Jasur Yunusov says. – These contests, which are songs about the homeland, require a lot of responsibility, careful preparation, learn to appreciate the peaceful life and a pure heart sing his native country.

At the competition in the system of the General Department of Cultural Affairs and Sports of Tashkent city took Fazilat Ahmedova took the first place – for the song “My Uzbekistan”, as well as Davronhuja Sulaymonov and Shirin Muzaffarova – for the song “Lolazorim”.
