The Cabinet of Ministers issued a resolution “On measures to further support athletes who have achieved high results in prestigious international sports competitions and their coaches.”
Olympic and Paralympic champions and prize-winners – citizens of Uzbekistan, if they meet their application, will receive monthly payments in life for the following amounts: for the gold medal – 10 MW; for silver and bronze medals – 5 MW.
To receive payments, athletes must submit to the State Committee for Sport an application of the established standard, a copy of the passport and the diploma of the winner or prize-winner of the Games, by December 1 each year. Athletes’ applications are considered by the State Committee for Sport and the Republican Commission for Coordination of the Execution of the Program for the Further Development of Physical Culture and Mass Sports in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Payments are appointed by order of the Cabinet of Ministers on the basis of the Republican Commission’s submission.
One-time premiums will be given to coaches of those athletes who, starting from 01/01/2018, will achieve high results in prestigious international competitions.
