Executive committee of the Political council of UzLiDeP and its faction in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis held an expanded joint meeting on 4 August 2015.
MPs of Legislative Chamber and local councils of people’s deputies, heads of regional party organizations and party activists, entrepreneurs and farmers have discussed the tasks facing the party arising from the decree “On preparation and celebration of 24th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.
It was noted that the Independence – the greatest, most precious good, the guarantee of free and prosperous life of the people, prosperity of our country. Celebrating Independence Day allows us one more time objectively analyze achievements and successes of Uzbekistan’s Independence. UzLiDeP believes that huge successes and milestones achieved for the last period in building a new, democratic state and civil society prove the correctness the national development strategy under the leadership of the President Islam Karimov.
So, UzLiDeP makes a worthy contribution to raise awareness among the population on the essence and significance of ongoing fundamental reforms in Uzbekistan and huge successes and milestones achieved during the year of Independence.
The participants noted that in the years of Independence as a result of paid special attention to the support of entrepreneurs and farmers, who are the electorate of the party, small business and private entrepreneurship have become the industry occupies an important place in the economy of our country.
Small business and private entrepreneurship, which has not been in the country before independence, now, their share in GDP makes up 56%, this sector employs 75-77 % of the employed population. They make a great contribution to the improvement of remote villages and the well-being of the population.
During the years of independence in agriculture are having a radically new economic relations, created opportunities for farmers’ movement. Today, our farmers produce 90-92 % of all agricultural products and they have also become a powerful social and political force, taking responsibility for the development of the agricultural sector.
During the meeting the party and its faction have developed specific programs of action to implement the above-mentioned decree in the central and regional structures of the party as well as they reviewed implementation in the first half of this year the election program of UzLiDeP and its Action program for 2015-2019 years.
At the end of the meeting on all discussed issues the relevant decisions were taken.
