In the capital 4th International Festival of Opera and Ballet Art “Tashkent Spring 2017” is coming to an end. It is held in the State Academic Bolshoi Theater named after Alisher Navoi. Along with the artists of our country, representatives of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Georgia and Azerbaijan take part in it.

“The significance of this festival is very great, says Andrei Slonim, Honored Art Worker of Uzbekistan. – There is an unimaginable fusion of cultures, an exchange of experience and an amazing mix of talents and opportunities. And we can observe all this on the same stage.”

The festival promotes the expansion of friendly and creative contacts, acquaintance of Tashkent spectators with the best achievements of performing skills in the field of opera and ballet of various countries of the world.

The guests of the festival, in particular Denis Vlasenko, Marika Machitidze, Yury Gorodetsky, Sundet Baygojin, Afag Abassova and Aleksey Isaev, arrived in our capital at the invitation of People’s Artist of Uzbekistan Ramiz Usmanov, who became a link between the organizers and famous artists. In the same composition they performed at the television contest of young singers “The Big Opera” in Russia, where the idea to meet again on the Uzbek stage was born.

The conductor of the State Symphony Orchestra “New Russia” Denis Vlasenko noted that the festival convincingly proved the great attention paid to the advancement of culture in Uzbekistan.

The operas “The sky of my love” by Mustafa Bafoyev, “Traviata” by Giuseppe Verdi, “The King’s Bride” by Rimsky-Korsakov and others were shown, as well as master classes, creative evenings and concerts were held.

The final stage of the opera part of the festival was Ramiz Usmanov’s concert with the participation of world masters of bel canto. And on May 5, the legendary staging of Swan Lake by Pyotr Chaykovsky at the Bolshoi Theater awaits fans of ballet art.
