Boxer from Uzbekistan Shakhram Giyasov was recognized as the best in Asia following the results of the annual survey of the Asian Boxing Confederation.
The silver medalist of the Olympic Games in the weight category up to 69 kg scored 57.2% of the vote, ahead of his compatriot Hasanboy Dusmatov – 32.8%. Kazakhstan’s Kairat Yeraliyev (6.1%) is closest to the top three.
24-year-old native of Bukhara Giyasov in 2017 became the champion of Asia and the world, and last year was the opening of the year in Asia.
The Boxing Federation of Uzbekistan was recognized as the best in Asia (91%).
