An exhibition of items of decorative and applied arts has taken place in Tashkent on the occasion of a birth anniversary of Muhammad Bobur.

Participants in the exhibition said that in his main work, “Boburnoma”, Bobur gave a detailed description of that era’s living conditions, morals and traditions, including craftsmen’s role in the development of that state and society.

About 40 craftspeople took part in the exhibition. They continue traditions and schools of folk art, specifically famous Rishton ceramics, golden embroidery and national dress making of Bukhara.

“We use only natural fabrics made in our country. Thanks to this, the clothes we make are of good quality, comfy and durable. We frequently participate in trade fairs in Uzbekistan and abroad. Not long ago, we returned fr om India wh ere we presented Uzbek national clothes and embroidery. Indian specialists and entrepreneurs were very much interested in our products,” says Rasul Yahyoyev, a national dress maker.

As part of the exhibition, master classes also took place, during which every volunteer could try their ability in visual arts, sculpturing and sewing.

During the event, excerpts from Muhammad Bobur’s works were read out.
