The domestic automobile building industry, despite the projected decline in demand in its main export markets, goes ahead with the dynamic development. The strategic goal is quite apparent – crises come and go, and a market that is going down today can win the lost positions tomorrow. The crucial thing here is not to lose a pace, because a technological gap is something difficult to catch up with.
The automotive industry of Uzbekistan comes to dozens of uniquely equipped enterprises, producing goods at the highest international standards, and which can be flexibly and promptly retooled to the new kinds. Domestically produced cars run around the world, demonstrating their power, quality and reliability.
As reported by press service of O’zavtosanoat joint-stock company, last year it exported more than 55 thousand cars, the spare parts for which were shipped by 16 related companies. Uzbek cars were exported to Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Belarus, as well as Indonesia, Brazil, Turkey and South Korea.
Last year, the car industry of Uzbekistan implemented 14 projects totaling over $87.4 million. The largest projects included the establishment of the production of Damas passenger cars and their components in Khorezm region, the manufacture of headlights and lamps for Gentry cars, and the launch of the production of polymer compounds. As a result, in 2014, Uzbekistan produced 245,700 cars, 3,800 trucks and ISUZU buses, 1,200 MAN trucks and 133,700 engines.

Hotamjon Ketmonov met with voters of Namangan and Fergana regions
In the field are underway meetings of the candidates for President Uzbekistan with voters. On February 16 in Namangan candidate for President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from the People’s Democratic Party Hotamjon Ketmonov met with voters of Namangan region.
The meeting was opened by the chairman of the 6th Namangan district election commission for the election of the President of Uzbekistan G.Artykov. Trustee of presidential candidate, A.Kyrgyzbaev familiarized participants with the biography of the candidate.
