The next Festival of German and Uzbek Films for Children and Young Audience ‘Shum Bola 2017’ will be held this May 3-7 at the Alisher Navoi Cinema Palace in Tashkent. 

The Festival is organized by the Institute of Goethe in Tashlent and the Uzbekkino National Agency in cooperation with the Schlingel International Film Festival in Chemnitz, Germany.

Within the Festival the German films will be screened from the program of the Schlingel International Film Festival that is annually organized in Chemnitz.

Besides, a new Uzbek film will be premiered – A Fairy about Moon-faced Young Woman, and new animations produced by the Uzbek cinematographers.

Bishkek has hosted the sixth ceremony of awarding the National Film Prize ‘Ak Ilbirs.’ The jury of the Festival determined the representative of Uzbekistan Feruza Saidova – the Best Actress.

She was awarded the prize for the role in the film by Zulfikar Musakov ‘The Autumn Fall’ produced in 2016.

Representatives of film industry of Uzbekistan are regularly nominated to the Ak Ilbirs Prize. A year ago the film by Yolqin Tuychiev won in the category The best Film in Central Asia.
