Seoul hosted a ceremony to mark the 24th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which was attended by deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Korea, representatives of various ministries and departments, large state-owned companies, as well as heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in the South Korean capital.

In his welcoming speech highlighted the key achievements of our country over the years of independence, set forth the essence of the “Uzbek model” of reforms based on the five principles of transition to a socially-oriented free market economy and will allow the country within a short historical period achieved high results are indicated priorities multifaceted Uzbek-South Korean cooperation.

Minister of Public Administration and Home Affairs Chung Jong-Sup in his speech praised the modern development of the country:

According to the Minister, the two countries are not only long-standing trade partners, but also close friends, who share close historical and cultural ties. The further promotion of cooperation will promote mutual prosperity of the two countries.
